OUR WORK
POLYPHONIC was established to produce its own work and over the years we have been fortunate enough to be involved in some wonderful projects. We are best known for producing The Full Monteverdi, the acclaimed film featuring vocal ensemble I Fagiolini.

Our production of The Full Monteverdi is the film version of John La Bouchardière’s epic collaboration with I Fagiolini. It premiered at The Southbank Centre in 2007 and went on to be broadcast in over a dozen countries, play festivals across the world and released in cinemas in South Africa and New Zealand.

ANTI-SOCIAL

We have made a series of short documentaries for the BBC Ideas channel: one on trees, another on memes, and Anti-Social, a film about not being on social media, which ironically went somewhat viral on Youtube. All the films were featured on the BBC News homepage.

The live version of How Like An Angel toured the UK, Australia and to New York. We captured the show in three UK cathedrals when it was performed as part of the Cultural Olympiad in 2013. It went on to be screened at numerous festivals including Dance on Camera at the Lincoln Centre in New York. It is available on DVD and online.

We have created over 40 music video performance clips for BBC Bitesize Scotland, part of the the BBC’s award-winning educational platform. The series features sessions by Breabach, Fatherson, The Dunedin Consort, The Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Nina Nesbitt, Wolfstone, Gospel Singers Incognito, Soweto Kinch, The Haggis Horns and Christina Lawrie.
